I wouldn't say people are jealous just miffed at why the ability to play football warrants such excessive pay. The thing that annoys me is the amount of footballing autobiographies there are. In all but a few cases I cannot see what a footballer has to say that is worth a book! To see autobiographies from the most interesting, intelligent and accomplished people society has to offer being outsold by Wayne Rooneys autobiography is almost as depressing as the fact that even his girlfriend has a book out now....  |
All i'm going to say is can you or anyone else who has replied in this thread do the same job as the top premiership players like Ronaldo, Terry and Gerrard? I'm 100% sure the answer is no, they have a skill that is rare and in high demand so imo they deserve every penny they earn. People don't moan about those who work in banks and in the city that earn similar amounts to footballers, even though theres probably more skill to being a footballer than a boss of a big company.
