A friend told me I can connect a 'dodgy' box to the cable feed coming in. In all honesty I cannot be bothered with this as I'd get too much aggro from the missus and I dont feel its right anyway. Why doesnt Virgin simply disconnect the feeds going to lines where there are no boxes on the other end? Can they not tell that?

On a separate note, will I now have a problem if I decide to move to Virgin + as I cant find my old box?
your internet & TV come down the same cable so if they disconnect the TV you will also loose your internet. also as you already have Sky it would be cheaper for you to get Sky HD/+ & you'l get more HD channels if thats what your after.
