Not too far from where I was at boarding school for 6 years in Grays - I'm struggling to find the worst day during those years, tbh....
but the first football lesson where I had my nearly knee length, light tan coloured, toe capped leather soled football boots, with nailed in wooden studs held up for praise by the games teacher (nicknamed 'tough'

- as much better than the rubber studs/soles plus cutaway ankle style favoured by the whole of the rest of the school...was one of them
