Strange, this is what I get off Robin Walker:

1st 128K took 665 ms = 197101 Bytes/sec = approx 1640 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 729 ms = 179797 Bytes/sec = approx 1496 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 727 ms = 180292 Bytes/sec = approx 1500 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 776 ms = 168907 Bytes/sec = approx 1405 kbits/sec
But using a multithreaded download manager on a microsoft download was pulling down at 1200KB/sec.
This is on a wireless laptop, so would think it would be a bit better on a wired PC.
Can't trust any speedtesting these days
