Dohhh...its really simple. If you move into a property note down the meter number and the meter reading. Photograph it if you can. Inform the supplier that you are the new occupier and pass the meter no and reading to them.

Dont, i repat, dont get involved in paying on monthly budget schemes. Simple budget yourself, put some money away every week toward the bill and pay it when it comes.

Get yourself onto U switch or similar and make sure you are using the cheapest supplier for you.

DONT buy anything from a doorstep energy seller.

If you move into a property with a prepayment/card meter..make sure the meter is reset to clear previous customers details and ensure that you obtain a new card. Dont use the old one.
