Just buy the cheapest you can find. Something like this.

There's a lot of misinformation about IR protocols. The only cable boxes that use a non-standard protocol are the Pace 1000, 1010, 2000 and 4000, and the SA4000 & SA4200. The V+, both Samsungs, and the Pace 4001 & 4010 are fine.

Plug the sender into the VCR SCART socket on the V+. Just in case you are not aware, if the V+ is in HD mode, you won't be able to see the menus through the sender. But you can surf channels ok.
