Could you perhaps try a different mobile just to see if its someit to do with that model of the phone?


Also some mobiles seem to be better at picking up a signal than others. (I have a z520i and n70 on vodafone, and even if I disable 3G on the n70 it will still often find 1-3 bars of signal when the z520i can't pickup anything)


Woolworths have a virgin payg phone for a tenner if you need to get one... suppose it depends on if either have a

1) Different make/model of phone to try?
2) Mind spending more money?

What make/model of phone are you using out of interest.
