If i'm honest with you, you're probably going to get much better service with Be, as they are a dedicated ISP. They are truly unlimited in service thus far, unlike Sky who have a fair usage policy applying to bandwidth.
As for the email problem, i suggest you sign up with Googlemail. Then, even if you close your account with your ISP, your email address will be just fine and still be usable. Plus, they offer free POP3 email access, unlike other free services. If you want to know more, take a look here:
