Hi and to the forums.

Are you a virgin customer ?
If you are on virgin cable broadband then you should have a cable box or set top box somewhere being used as a cable modem.
It is only in some cases where people live in flats where I have seen that their broadband comes straight out of a wall and into the back of their PC.

It would be worth knowing if it is ADSL or Cable that you have.

Whichever one it is, you should be able to buy an ADSL wireless router if you have ADSL broadband. This device has a modem built in and will also be your wireless router.

If you have cable broadband you should already have a cable modem or set top box you are connected to. You will need a broadband wireless router and this will sit between the cable modem and your computer.
Note: You need a cable wireless router and not an ADSL one in this case.
