Trust me when i tell you a new modem is needed. Regardless of what 'Ceedee' spouts a new modem will help you. Without telling you how - trust me i know.

Ceedee - When 20 meg first came about VM stated that other modems were compatible and have since changed their minds. In theory the surfboards can go upto 35meg+ in reality they don't. I work with these modems day in day out so unless you have more experience of the day to day operations of this kit on this network i would thank you to be less insulting.
