In my current job I book scans etc for many different kinds of patients and I have noticed how many people are fighing cancer and winning. Lots of people are on surveillance scans only, after managing to beat it.

The NHS has a target for cancer patients of one month from referral to treatment so you should be fast-tracked for your investigations. Hopefully this will have been caught early and can be easily treated. Have a look at the links that Rammy gave and maybe give them a call (freephone numbers I hope) and see if you can get more information to help ease your worries. Sometimes not knowing can make a bad thing seem even worse
