Indeed, average pay in lincoln is 9-12k, anything higher and your considered "lucky/middleclass"
I've lived on 12k before (before taxes) and i could barely afford to put food in my stomach with rent/taxes/bills etc...Unsure how some people do it, especially with the current price of petrol.
