Southern England is threatened and the BBC treats us to 12 hours of build-up reports, followed up with blow-by-blow (geddit) accounts of each gust and shower.

For the record, it got a little blowy up here around breakfast time, but now all we have is light rain and an attractive blanket of snow on the hilltops.
