The first mobile phone licence in the UK was granted in 1983.
I had a car phone in 1987 (Motorola) and it didn't have hands free (it actually had a curly cord

).
Was there an earlier type of mobile phone (I am actually interested, because I remember CBs being a fad in the 70s/80s).
