I was thinking of the sammy, but heard some good some bad about it. It's important to me that footy doesn't blur too much.

I'll look into the tosh and see if I can find a display model showing something half decent.

I do sit on AVforums, but I tend to be blinded by science, with all the stats and settings.

Cheers again.

IIRC, the only real bad point I read about the 37" Samsung was the sound was a bit weak.

Both that & the Toshiba 37X3030 have had great reviews.

Also, a quick Kelkoo has found prices for the apparently uber-awesome Toshiba 37Z3030D (Z range is the next up from the X range)

From £799!

Full HD 1080p (like the Sammy & the Tosh 37X3030), 100Hz, and the ever important 24fps (so no more juddery Blu-ray Discs, as the PS3 can output 1080p24 for BDs).

Actually, I think the Sammy LE37M8 can do 24fps too, which may be worth a check.

---------------------
EDIT - A bit of Googling does seem to suggest that the M8 range can do 24fps

Seems firmware dependent, although apparently UK sets do have the correct firmware for it.

There's also the newer Sammy range, the F8 range, which are 100Hz & do 24fps.

i have used many samsung tv's and have found them all very nice

I've got a smaller & older Sammy R7, just over a year old. Lovely TV. If I had the space (& the money, lol), I'd happily buy a nice big Samsung TV.
