Do you get the problem if you stay close to your wireless router?
I'm guessing your hotel was never built with wireless signals in mind and the thick walls are blocking the signal.
Might be worth looking at homeplug wireless extenders - see this
earlier thread. Not cheap, but essentially you have extenders dotted around the hotel, eg one or two per floor, that connect to the central router via the electrics and gives you a stable wlan over the whole building.
