okay....so your other lappy finds network and another 1 in the area but the oldie doesnt find anything.

the drivers I assume are the latest that you can find for it? That card doesnt ring a bell with me, which make is it?

also are you managing the wlan from Microsoft or the utilty that came with the card? (if card utility try microsoft wlan client, to start this go to dos, type in "Net start WZCSVC)
