You mean remove the padding from the end of the first and the begining of the second? I wouldnt want to have one recording contain two programs. What of you wanna put it on a DVD? watching the second program means you have to FF through the first? Or enter the Minute the second starts. Too much hassle... what happens now is good, It just needs clarrifying.

ONE option is to put a message on the pop-up, when there is clashes, stating, "If you turn your box in stand-by, you can record all these programs. If not, the programs may clash and may not record, or the padding feature will be removed."

It would seem there is a grey area now, but there ARE three red lights on that box. And they lit up for me over christmas. I didnt manually record either.
