what it requires to be fixed (to get your tv services going again) is a brand new replacement box,or are you prepared to pay for the cost of fixing it and then stand the time it will take to get it back?? youd probably be peed at paying the bill while it took 3 weeks to get your box off to get fixed and back again!! i know its a shitter and like you said youd probably have gotten away with it if you hadnt rang them,but you did,so,in my humble opinion,youd be best to crack on with the insurance claim and have VM come and fit you a nice shiny new samsung (if they bring a pace tell em to F off)
