I'm hoping for some advice here.
My youngest son managed to set his bottle on top of our additional box last firday. It is an 8 year old box and was moved up stairs after we got V+ downstairs. The bottle leaked and the box blew with a few flashes etc so cannot be re connected as I deem it to dangerous.
Being honest I reported this to VM yesterday to be told that I would be charged £250.00 for a replacement box. Given that I have had this box since 2002 moving house once since that time and taking the box with me I find this out-standing that I'm asked to pay for something this old after an accident.
I'm told by VM to claim of my house insurance! One rep did tell me yesterday told me to upgrade the additional box to V+ and I would only pay £75 but today I was informed that this was incorrect.
Where do I stand with this? I obviously want not to pay for something which was an accident and don't want to ruin my home insurance on a stupid £250 claim!
Any advice welcome, If I'm stuffed I'm thinking back to BT the only thing that kept me with VM was the broadband anyway.........
