Re: Disabled Cable TV Service - signals still on the cable?

The digital tuner in the TV will be for Freeview.
Freeview signals are not carried down the cable system.

If the cable is still connected out in the street it will still carry the analogue signals (till they get turned off)

Basically the digital signals the built in tuner in the TV is looking for, are different than the digital signals sent down the cable, so it wont see anything.

Only way to get Freeview is via a rooftop antenna.
