One of the girls I knew at school was murdered, so I know what it is like to lose a schoolmate.
I dont know the full circumstances of course but it seems like not a day goes by just now without some young kid losing their lives.Especially down here in London.
The rough ole streets of Edinburgh back home in Scotland seem like such a safe haven in comparison at times.........but then, times have changed.

I hope your children are able to talk to you about their friend, when I was that age I lost a school friend and found it very hard to verbalize my feelings.
Josh was a year or two above my own 2 so he was`st actually a friend of theirs as such but it`s actually my younger primary school girls that are asking the most questions strangely enough.

Mabey now our older two will understand why i get so annoyed when i cant get hold of them on their mobile phones and why i`m possibly tooo over-protective(seemingly??) at times.

Of course....R.I.P Young man
