Connection to Virgin/NTL Broadband

Hi

I have a 6gHz PC running Windows 2000. The hard drive was formatted & Virgin Broad Band set up without any problems. (It directed me to the Internet set up) I am trying to connect a similat PC which I eventually hope to run via a Belkin Router, again with a re-formatted drive and a 100% clean installation of Windows 2000 (This PC is slower but has worked on Virgin/NTL Broad Band before, using XP, SP2) using the Virgin C Disc without sucess. I have installed a new Ethernet card + driver and when I go to Network & Dial Up connections it is connected at 100.0 Mbps & has recieved 70 packets. (68 yesterday) When I run the disk it fails with the message "Could not renew IP address DHCP" The cable has been checked and I have plugged into the Virgin Modem. (which is working fine on the first PC) I also have a Belkin Router with 4 output ports & no joy with this either. The only difference in the 2 PC's (apart from the chip speed is the colour of the cases ??. Help Please. I am sure it just a setting somewhere as all the hardware seems OK.

Regards

Hairless Warrington.
