One issue highlighted over this case is raising the drinking age to 21, as one of the murderers had reportedly drank 5 bottles of cider before the incident with Mr Newlove - Will raising the age limit solve anything? I think not - the real issue is social order, its completely out of focus in Britain.

But for Newlove this was an horrible and meaningless violent crime which resulted in a loss of life and robbed a family of a loving husband and dad.
