Thanks for these comments.

The last one (Nemeth) mentioned the word Relaying - that made me realise that another ISP I deal with (Entanet) when asked, simply add the domain to what they call the client's "RELAY" and then sending out messages is no problem.

I'd be grateful for any further advice others might have.
