Re: Wireless broadband on laptop?

You need a wireless router. Your desktop computer will need to be plugged in with an Ethernet cable to the router. Also the router will need to be plugged into the modem via Ethernet. Your modem does have an Ethernet port right? The laptop should have wireless built in nowadays so that should be fine.

I'd recommend a Linksys WRT54G router.
