Dead Sky box

A friend's Amstrad DRX100 gave up the ghost after a power blip.

It was freesat (ex-subscription), and according to some, they may not be willing to pair an unsubscribed card with a replacement box.

Anyone tried?

If that's the case, then instead of just a box, it means eaither buying a £20 freesat card or getting a box with an active freesat/ex-sub card included.

Or maybe the pay once offer, which would be a new box and some more channels for a while.
