Hi there, its own tuner is actually analogue I am afraid, if that is the info you are after. Oddly enough Philips don't seem to point that out anywhere except in the manual!
I bought one about a week ago and am very happy with it so far. If you have a digibox it should be able to connect to it via a scart if you happen to be in a non analogue signal region. I live in a pretty non digital area ... I am not totally convinced we're ever going to go all digital really but anyway ...
Not had a chance to write to dvd yet but HDD function is brilliant.
Lots of other models out there ... this is very slim and the record/playback lights are so cool (of course that is not a serious buying point right
). Got progressive scan and comp video, pity we got a non SCART TV! (yeah, its really that old!). On our tv picture looks great even on SLP (low quality supposedly).
