After the Manchester completion the area will be extended West as far as Liverpool, this should be completed during 2008, afterwards the system will be expanded East as far as the Pennines with completion during 2009. The system is more cost effective to install outside cities, high buildings play havoc with the signal, requiring a higher number of transmitters per square mile.
