I've checked now I'm home, and I use the upload stated by VM i.e.
ftp://upload.ntlworld.com/ however I do find this will only work in IE but not in FireFox even using the IE tab.
When you open ftp initially an FTP Folder Error comes up, click OK then left click the IE "File" tab, in the drop down menu left click "Login As" and enter username and password and left click "Login".
