Its an MSN issue, well, Microsofts network. I've just run tracert's from two USA based servers, and they all time out where it should hit M$'s network, just as it does here at home.

It seems that no microsoft site except for
www.msn.com is working for me.
Now also confirmed from another VM user than MSN isn't working.
