Btw the cliches I threw in about the showers etc were to do with character building, footballers today get given everything on a plate, if only they knew how the other half lived, they might be in the papers for the right reasons

But being 14 do you really want him playing first team football? He's still only a kid and still learning, the best place to learn is in an academy with top coaches, then going out on loan when you 17/18/19 to play first team football. Some of the best players around came through the academies of United, West Ham etc.
