Can't beleive I'm gonna say this, but some of the Gateway Laptops that Tesco sell are absolutely fantastic, a basicish laptop with a reasonable C2D CPU, 1GB RAM, Wireless, Intel GMA950 Graphics can be had for about Ã‚Â£350, really good quality piece of kit too! - Comes with Vista (and seems to run it rather well)
