Odd message on tty1 (kernel alive)

Ever since I installed the x64 version of ubuntu I get this at the bottom of the screen as the kernel starts just before the splash comes up

It can also be seen on tty1 (goes when I login though)

Looks like a memory address to me, but how come the message is displayed 32bit versions never displayed this.
