The whole concept of different window managers etc can be completely alien at first but i would just concentrate on plain ole k/Ubuntu at first and forget about the bells & whilstles until you get a feel for the basics. |

know what the Grub is, I was attempting to ascertain if Shaun was having the same prob with his graphics card & monitors that I had a little while ago, & was hardware related; nothing specific to Linux, as I hadn't even tried a Live CD on this system at that point.
