That's my point exactly, unreliable. I suspect, given the short time it takes to test, that it's reporting your burst speed. Everyones speed starts off very high, and then comes down to give a realistic speed.

With some helpful advice from people on here (thank you Pedantic) I went with ADSL24, and so far it definitely looks good. Apart from the 10-12 pm slowdown, speeds are solid, and I really like the fact that the MD regularly posts on their forum. A refreshing approach to customer service.

The 10pm surge can be a bit of a pain, as some people try and download the entire internet.
