It would require a LOT of wiring as the two computers are in different rooms and the modem+wireless router is in another room.

I can access the internet fine. On both computers. I'm trying to set up a VPN (Virtual Private Network), I think. One of the computers is hooked up to a printer that I would like to access from the other computer.

Something were I can access the other computers shared files and printer. Some icon of the name of my home network (that the wizard said I created)
