Making NTL:Home wireless using Belkin Kit

A colleague of mine has a NTL broadband connection with a ambit 100 Cable modem, shown here:

she has two PC's one of which is connected via USB to the Cable Modem. She wants to connect both PC's up the the internet, so I went out and bought a Belkin F5D7230 wireless router. followed the instructions to the letter connected the Cable modem to the WAN/Internet port on the Router, connected one PC via ethernet left the other with USB, I setup the routers config with the USB MAC address of the ethernet connected comp, I then powered everything down in order CM,Router, PC's then powered backup the opposite way. It gets the 192 IP from the wireless router but it wont connect to the internet, I have tried plugging the CM into the PC ports, still nothing, iv tied cloning the ethernet address and still nothing, iv tried ringing NTL and got an indian guy that couldnt help and told me to ring belkin, then belkin told me to ring NTL.

I`m VERY frustrated with it, and iv done everything I can think of, anyone got any ideas? I`m starting to think maybe the cable modem isnt capable of being connected wirelessly.

Its my first post here so please be gentle

Thanks in advance

Craig
