Its out of order he's been attacked and I think its out of order to imply that he can be seen as deserving it for how he is in the changing room. As has earlier been pointed out, the guy is a pensioner, and he didnt deserve that no matter what 'previous' form he has.

It was only a couple of months back he came out and undermined the efforts of both Liverpool and Man Utd football clubs to make the 'rivalry' between them more friendly, it's the last in a long line of inflammatory statements, things like 'Rooney is as volatile as he is because he is from Liverpool' etc and he has quite a reputation for bullying officials on tv as well and that is just what we see him do in front of the media, he sounds like a lovely bloke
Who said he deserved it, more of a case of what goes around comes around imo
