I have the same problem. I mean had... with .NET BroadcastEvent Viewer not closing. I found this message on onother forum. It worked for some people but not me.

I fixed this problem with a program called Tuneup 2007 (30 day demo avalible). This program has a thing in it to allow you to control windows start-up programs. I stopped catalyst from stating with windows. No more error message and video drivers seem to be fine. Hope this post helps someone.
