The quote about the police source saying that they are "
leaning towards it being a tragic accident." makes it sound like the parents were involved somehow. If Madeliene died as the result of a stranger entering her room, how could the police possibly know if her death (if she is dead) was accidental or otherwise?
Are the police trying to keep the McCanns in Portugal without arousing suspicion?
