Hi all,

I have a virgin media 20MB connection and a Netgear WPN24 wireless router on a HP DV6190eu laptop.

When I use the wireless connection I get around 4MB but when I wire the router or modem I get around 17MB. I have no problem with upload speeds.

I have tried everything from changing the MTU size and also disabling the SPI firewall but i still can not increase the download speed.

I am now out of ideas on how to increase the speed on the wireless connection. I am beginning to think that I need a new router.

Please help!
