No i dont have a router connected - is there no way for the connection to be shared?

If your computer is say 192.168.1.2 you will probably want your laptop to be 192.168.1.3 personally i would use something like 192.168.1.22 or something different rather than sequencial incase of conflicts.

This where i get confused - the Wireless Dlan device has an ip - do i change that? or the connection in networks?
