Re: London bomb made safe

It seems a strange time to attempt an attack. I'm not sure how busy London is at that time on a Friday morning but I would have thought Friday/Saturday nights or rush hours would be 'better' times for an attack.
If this was an attempted attack by an Radical Muslim group they also have form for multiple simultaneous attacks and not just a one-off. There is the possibility this was a house-warming to Gordon Brown and thrown together at the last minute but that doesn't ring true to me (for a start the timetable for GB taking over has been known for ages)

My personal feeling is the car was on it's way to join some others before an organised attack in the next week or so and when the driver lost control he did a runner rather than explain why he has several gas canisters and bags of nails in the back seat.

I guess more will become clear when they release CCTV of him and he becomes the most wanted man in Britain. Or more likely the most wanted man in Europe on his way to Pakistan/Afghanistan/Saudi etc. after legging it on Eurostar first thing this morning.
