Apparently it's better to be ripped off by British Cowboy builders than have the work done properly for a reasonable price by foreigners, and obviously unpatriotic to suggest that British builders should do a resonably priced proper job.
Reminds me of some Asian builders down Incog's way, their slogan is "You've tried the Cowboys, now try the Indians"
