I've also had some problems with Belkin cards but got it going in the end, the later drivers help a lot.
I used the lastest drivers from the website, i think the Card is faulty as its 2 completely different laptops its locked up now.

Anyone recommended a router? even if the transmit power isn't higher the SWBR5400 they got at the moment is a little unstable.
