Well that's one theory shot down then! If you're getting the faster speed through the router's LAN ports then the problem definately seems to be with the wireless part rather than a bottleneck at the WAN port end.

Try going into the setup and change the wireless channel used on the router, also try temporarily turning off the data encryption. There may be a bit of interference on the channel being used.
