And this wouldn't matter any more as I'm sure Bill C knows, this used to work but now changing the upstream channel in a modem will do absolutely
nothing
the upstream channel is dictated on and by the uBR. The only (on the fly) changes to upstream channel that can be made is made by a 2nd line advisor.
