United have had bids for the England international turned down in the past, but Bayern's club president Franz Beckenbauer has suggested a deal, reportedly worth around £17million, is not far off completion.

I think United need another striker, such as the much touted Torres.
"Sick note" Saha is a bit of a liability, and Dong won't figure in the plans yet as he is just another Asian shirt deal signing anyway imo.
