If you get a drop in speed, remove the router and direct connect to a PC for temporary testing, if the speed returns then you need to go for a v4. Got the same situation at my sisters but unfortunately her power levels to the modem are shocking so she is only getting 6-7Mb until the tech comes out otherwise I would know the answer
She has my old V3 ready to hook up lol
